A co-curricular transcript is an official document that records verifiable student activities which occur outside the classroom. (TOP)

Membership in a student organization on campus.
- Students will receive recognition for membership in a student organization by actively participating
  in at least 50% of all activities sponsored by the organization.
Being an officer in a student organization and fulfilling the duties of that office.
Participation in any approved college sponsored community service project .
Participation in intramurals sponsored by the GC Physical Education Department.
Participation in tournaments sponsored by the GSC Physical Education Department, the GSC Fitness Center or the GSC Student Activities Office.
Attendance at Colloquium Series Events.
Attendance at Gainesville Theatre Alliance Productions.
Participation in Gainesville Theatre Alliance Productions.
Spring semester participation in the GSC Mathematics Tournament , the GSC Student Art Majors Show, the GSC Visual Arts Magazine, The Chestatee Review or Hoi Polloi. (TOP)

A system is needed to record learning experiences that occur outside of the classroom.
It gives credibility to co-curricular experiences, just as an academic transcript does for classroom experiences.
Along with the academic transcript, it provides a more complete view of the student's experiences and development while enrolled at Gainesville State College.
It is a valuable instrument for the students. It can be given to future employers, scholarship committees, etc.
It supports our mission - to offer educational, cultural and developmental experiences.
It provides a method of assessment for student development.
It is one method of encouraging the development of a well-rounded student.
It may increase student participation in clubs and campus activities. (TOP)
