Why have a
co-curricular transcript?
-
A
system is needed to record learning experiences that
occur outside of the classroom.
-
It
gives credibility to co-curricular experiences, just
as an academic transcript does for classroom
experiences.
-
Along
with the academic transcript, it provides a more
complete view of the student's experiences and
development while enrolled at Gainesville State
College.
-
It is
a valuable instrument for the students. It can be
given to future employers, scholarship committees,
etc.
-
It
supports our mission - to offer educational,
cultural and developmental experiences.
-
It
provides a method of assessment for student
development.
-
It is
one method of encouraging the development of a
well-rounded student.
-
It may
increase student participation in clubs and campus
activities. (TOP)
